Palmers Insurance Group LLC is an independent, licensed insurance agency helping people understand and choose Medicare coverage in Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Florida.
What independent means
We are not employed by an insurance company. We contract with a number of carriers, which lets us compare across them and say plainly when a plan is not the right fit — including when the right answer is that you should stay on the plan you already have.
What independent does not mean is that we can see everything. No agency can. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
How we work
- We ask before we recommend. Your doctors, your prescriptions, your travel, your budget. A recommendation made before those are known is a guess.
- We explain the trade-offs. Every plan has some. An agent who describes only the upside is selling, not advising.
- We do not push. A good number of our yearly reviews end with us saying to change nothing.
- We answer afterwards. Claim problems, a new prescription, a doctor leaving the network — call us first. We already know your plan.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no fee at any stage. When you enrol, the insurance carrier pays a commission that is regulated and broadly similar across carriers. Plan premiums are filed with the government and identical whether you enrol through an agent or go direct — you cannot get a lower price by going around us, and we cannot mark anything up.
